Role/Objectives in Translucent Project

Role of alkali metal cation transporters in yeast cell physiology (regulation of cell volume, pH, response to osmotic shock etc.).

Preparation and phenotype characterization of a series of isogenic strains lacking different combinations of plasma-membrane and/or organelle transporters for alkali metal cations.
